AKA: Fox Gas Shox

Pressure: 200 psi for Off-Road, 100 psi for Road and Trials, Oil: 5wt fork or shock fluid, level is 1/4" below lower snap ring groove or 1-1/4" below lip of body with shaft fully inserted on non-reservoir models.  Level is critical, to much oil will result in blowing the sealhead out and damage to the head and body.  When fitted with remote reservoirs, disregard oil level and fill shock to capacity.  Body O.D. is app. 1.450".

Which Decal Set to use: Original FoxHead usually used on Off-Road versions with at least 1" of body space between the spring and eyelet, Black on Clear for Red Bodies used on Trials and Off-Road versions with turning spring preload adjusters, Gold on Clear is used on Road versions with Black Bodies.

The following shafts are for the later model with shim valving and no jet on the end of the shaft. Installation of bronze bearing repair sleeve or new bearing highly recommended, wear limit of bearing is 0.504".
Note on shafts, measure the actual length to ensure ordering the correct size.  Actual length of shock is not a good indicator of shaft length due to use of extended eyelets.

Body Wrap, PVC heat-shrink wrap for bodies of single spring versions typically used on Street and Trials Shoxs, heat gun required, 3" length, 0.05" thick, install preload adjuster and plastic spring guide onto body first, they will not slide over the wrap, place wrap around body with 1/2" sticking past end, heat on low going around body evenly, trim off excess, can be installed after Shox is rebuilt and assembled if done on Low setting,  #909-413, 414, 415$6 pair
